About the role

We are actively seeking the talents of a dynamic and skilled professional with demonstrated experience of environmental and heritage approvals and key land access and tenure requirements, for both Brownfield and Greenfield mining and infrastructure projects, in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Manager Land Access & Approvals West in this pivotal role you will be responsible for:
  • Project management of major project approvals.
  • Ensuring processes and systems are clearly established for appropriately capturing and delivering approvals.
  • Early identification of approvals requirements during the project studies and planning phase.
  • Development of the approvals strategy (tenure, environmental approval requirements, heritage, acquisitions etc.).
  • Overseeing the implementation of the approvals strategy, including monitoring progress against the master plan and schedule.
  • External approvals benchmarking and continuous improvement to ensure the best available information is incorporated into the master approvals plan and schedule.
  • Identifying competing business priorities and potential synergies in approvals and Government engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be extremely collaborative and strategically minded with high level influencing and stakeholder engagement skills. You are team oriented and results focused with a demonstrated track record in working with others to achieve results.In addition, we are ideally looking for the following specific skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated success in effectively managing approval processes under both the Mining Act and the Environmental Protection Act within Western Australia
  • Outcome focused with the skills and ability to pull teams with diverse agendas together to achieve a shared result
  • The ability to manage ambiguity in a complex business environment
  • Degree qualified in Environment Science combined with Project Management qualifications


You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
