About the role

Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, this role will see you responsible for the financial monitoring and control of all Caval Ridge Mine contracts, ensuring the Contractor Management, HSE and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company's procedures and objectives are achieved.

Additionally, this role will form the critical link to ensure synergies across all departments in relation to contracts.

This role is being offered as a 12 month fixed term contract. 

Key responsibilities of this role include: 
  • Manage the site’s Safety and Health Management System and Contractor Management obligations for the mine site;
  • Audit and enforce compliance with the site’s Safety and Health Management System and Contractor Management obligations for all providers on site;
  • Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the performance and commercial objectives are met;
  • Produce and analyse contractor performance reports, updated costs and forecasts;
  • Ensure correct commercial engagement of contractors and subcontractors;
  • Implement the risk management process, review risk register and check risk controls;
  • Manage contract initiation, scope development, tendering, implementation and completion requirements for the site;
  • Maintain the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations;
  • Audit HS&E responsibilities and duties of site personnel, check understanding and provide training as necessary;
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with and the continual improvement of the Mine Operating Systems and Safety and Health Management Systems; and
  • Ensure alignment and continuity of site based improvement discipline and process. 

About You

With a strong commitment to safety the successful applicant will have demonstrated supervisory and leadership capability partnered with a background in legal, commercial, compliance or contract management in a heavy industry environment.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:
  • A strong commitment to and knowledge in safety compliance
  • Stakeholder Engagement 
  • Data Analytics
  • Working knowledge of SAP
Location

Caval Ridge Mine is located 15km south of Moranbah. Roster and travel arrangements are flexible and would be a matter for further discussion through the recruitment process.
