About the role

The Superintendent People Logistics works within the Integrated Operations Services Leadership Team reporting to the Manager Services.  You will lead a team to provide exceptional customer service to deliver safe, compliant and efficient accommodation and transport forecasting, bookings, allocation of accommodation, and scheduling of transport to meet the requirements of the Olympic Dam Operation.

You will work in a fast paced data analysis environment, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to accurately forecast accommodation and transport requirements.  With a continuous improvement mindset you will optimise accommodation allocations and transport scheduling to increase utilisation and deliver effective services.  You will pursue improvements in travel bookings and opportunities for your customers to self-manage travel.

You will have a passion for customer service, knowledge of travel booking systems and processes, and a proven track record of providing people logistics solutions.

This is an Adelaide based position operating on a 5/2 roster arrangement with flexible work options.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Lead by example with an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Ensure business goals, forecasts and budgets are met with a high level of accuracy and schedule adherence and provide active input into the 5 year planning process to ensure accommodation and transport supply and demand requirements are achieved.
  • Deliver the accommodation and transport strategy, with a continuous improvement focus on accommodation allocation and transport scheduling and optimization.
  • Deliver systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer focussed service delivery through operational meetings with contract business partners and key stakeholders, and provide reports. 
  • Commit to identify and implement opportunities to improve service standards, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace
  • Collaborate to foster strong working relationships with the accommodation, transport, projects and shut down operations team members

About You

Skills and Experience: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, data science, analytical sciences or related fields is desirable and/or significant working experience in similar role
  • Leadership experience
  • Data analysis experience
  • Ability to influence and mentor others in HSEC principles and behaviours
  • Accommodation/transport contract management experience
  • Experience working with travel booking systems (SAMS) and dashboards and add-ons
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, and execute Trigger Action Response Plans
