About the role

Lead a team of planning and scheduling professionals in the development of weekly and shutdown  maintenance schedules to enable safe execution along with effective cost and resource forecasting. Based at BHP’s coal port at Hay Point and Reporting to the Manager Planning, Scheduling and Asset Health you will manage a team of Planning and Scheduling professionals to translate Total Equipment and Operational Strategies for Fixed Plant, Port and Rail facilities into fully resourced and detailed work packages. 

This role is based at BHP’s coal port at Hay Point reporting to the Manager of Planning, Scheduling and Asset Health. 

BHP Billiton’s Maintenance Centre of Excellence (MCoE) is the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving and maintaining the highest standards in maintenance for BHP Billiton globally.

As a member of our MCoE team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other high performers to redefine the way we execute maintenance at our operations around the world. You will help deliver a safe, significant, and sustained improvement in the performance of our equipment and machinery fleet – from 390 tonne haul trucks to underground rail networks to automated ship loaders, and everything in between.  You will utilise innovative approaches, tools and technology to add real value to maintenance – setting new standards to guide improvement activity, transforming services and supporting our people.

About You

You will have experience as a Planning and Scheduling professional who is passionate about delivering results, who thrives within a structured work environment and enjoys clear, efficient task responsibilities in their role.

You will have a sound cost management and forecasting background as well as exposure to Fixed Plant, Port and Rail equipment and Asset Management. You will be able to build collaborative relationships and work as a team player who promotes and supports workplace diversity.
