About the role

Poitrel Mine Site is seeking a Superintendent Projects to join the Mining Production Department. In this role you will support the site to ensure strategic direction and planned targets are met with regards to safety, culture, volume and cost including organization change and direction.

In this unique role you will work across multiple disciplines with truck and shovel, pre strip/overburden& coal mining teams right through to the coal handling prep plant feed. Successfully contributing to the week 0, week 1 plus and up to 12 week plan being executed. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic projects that deliver high performance outcomes and allows people to focus on what matters. The roster on offer is an attractive 5:2 (9 day fortnight) day shift only. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will also be responsible for the following:
  • Project manage the planning, safe execution, and execution of approved strategic Projects and deliver work on scope, schedule, cost and safety targets;
  • Undertake the execution of design, specification, costing, scoping, and evaluation works that are required for the execution of key projects in line with Poitrel Production business plans;
  • Engage the operation across all departments, including key stakeholders, suppliers, vendors and contractors;
  • Actively investigate and implement safety, productivity, and cost initiatives across site to ensure value is realised;
  • Lead strategic site lead projects and manage relevant risks in line with 2 year and 5 year plans;
  • Step up / development opportunities into Production superintendent and manager role.

About You
