About the role

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive leader to inspire the Iron Ore Rail Execution team to safely execute the track and signaling renewal construction and re-railing programs of work.
As a Superintendent for this team you will play a key role by:
  • Being a key member of the Rail Execution leadership team, setting direction and guiding the culture of the team. 
  • Ensuring all renewal and construction activities across the BHP railway network are executed safely in accordance with work schedules, relevant standards and work instructions. 
  • Guarantee statutory/legislative compliance for all plant and equipment requirements.
  • Liaise with Operations, IPRO, Rail Infrastructure, HSEC and Engineering functions to ensure plans and schedules are aligned with operational and asset integrity requirements.
  • Work in partnership with the supply function to engage contractors, suppliers and vendors and ensure safe provision of maintenance services.
  • Work collaboratively with the superintendent leadership team across Rail and more broadly WAIO

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with record of developing an inclusive and high performing culture.
  • Track infrastructure maintenance, construction and project/program management experience would be beneficial
  • SAP experience would be beneficial
