Reporting to the Manager Engineering, the Reliability Superintendent - Mechanical contributes to ensuring compliance to applicable statutory standards and to achieve a desired level of plant integrity and reliability.
The Reliability Superintendent - Mechanical is responsible for:
  • Providing leadership to, and managing and directing the activities of a team of Mechanical Engineers and Graduates
  • Implementing statutory and company safety requirements across site
  • Developing and optimising maintenance strategies that enable plant safety, reliability and performance to be maximised
  • Ensuring Work Packs are prepared for regular maintenance and Shutdown tasks; and for the repair of maintenance items
  • Initiating, scoping and overseeing the implementation of Reliability Projects
  • Developing and maintaining Engineering Standards for site
  • Ensure the integrity of Classified Plant meets all statutory requirements
  • Ensuring RCAs for equipment failures are conducted
  • Providing engineering advice and support in a timely fashion, on request

About You

To be successful in the role the following requirements are a pre-requisite:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Previous experience in mining or heavy industry maintenance environment with demonstrated ability in reliability engineering and maintenance management.
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of mines regulations and Australian standards. 
  • Display evidence of a balance of practical and theoretical competency in engineering
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering and risk management techniques, including Life Cycle Costing, Reliability Centred Maintenance, FMECA and Root Cause Analysis
