About the role

We are actively seeking the talents of an innovative and engaging leader to join our team in the capacity of Superintendent Supply Chain AnalyticsReporting to the Manager Supply Chain Planning, this role presents a terrific opportunity for a strategic and analytically-minded Professional to draw upon their demonstrated leadership capabilities, nurture collaborative business partnerships and drive key business outcomes.

In this challenging and influential leadership role, you will:
  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
  • Effectively lead a team of technical experts in the field of data science and analytics
  • Nurture collaborative partnerships with site and continuous improvement teams on high value analytics projects/initiatives to enable increased system throughput
  • Drive the output of analytical insights both within the Supply Chain Planning department and to external stakeholders to enable sound WAIO business decisions to be made.
  • Influence decision-making and key outcomes with regards to supply chain priorities and direction.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems and technology.
  • Challenge thinking and act as a true conduit for change and innovation within a complex business environment

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a collaborative and impactful leader with outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You are team oriented and results focused with a demonstrated track record in coaching and influencing others to drive effective business outcomes.

In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
  • A background in analytics, mathematics, engineering or modelling would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience delivering successful outcomes within a complex end to end supply chain environment
  • A creative thinker who can effectively analyse issues using data and logic to problem solve
  • Demonstrated success influencing and managing strategic change initiatives
  • A ‘relationship’ leader with the ability to build open and transparent business partnerships with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to influence with credibility

Due to COVID-19 and corresponding border closures across Australia, you ideally must be located in Western Australia or be prepared to move to Western Australia for this opportunity.  Further information will be provided throughout the recruitment process.

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
