About the role

You will report to the Manager Camps and Aviation within the Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) team. Your innovation and experience will support you to ensure all elements of the Operational Readiness plan have been achieved within the relevant projects being transitioned to the NPI function within time frames set by the project milestones and the NPI budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
• Model an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
Deliver on all OR related activities associated for on time readiness.
• Understand the boundary limits of NPI Operational Readiness and deliver these requirements within each project as we hand over to the functions within NPI
• Capture and document Operational Readiness process to embed within the NPI way of business.
• Drive contractors to optimise performance in accordance with the Contract Management Framework.
• Provide update on performance against plan at Operational Readiness Weekly/Monthly meeting
• Represent CAVs team at meetings within Asset Projects, Engineering, NPI site departments and other key stakeholders
• Represent NPI to site GM’s to deliver Operational Readiness plan for projects and communicate disruptions
• Demonstrate effective management of HSEC incidents by ensuring that relevant incidents and hazards are identified, reported, investigated and managed.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will ideally possess some of the following or be interested in developing the following:
• Project Management / Engineering degree
• Extensive experience in operational readiness is essential
• Highly developed Project Management skills
• Highly advanced computer literacy in spreadsheet and database applications
• Ability to function effectively during periods of high workload
• Well developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Highly developed people management and stakeholder engagement / management skills
• 5 years + Project Management experience
• Extensive experience in either asset or facilities management
• Previous experience in the mining or minerals processing sector
• Demonstrated experience in providing guidance and leadership to 3rd party stakeholders essential.
