The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role


Reporting to the Superintendent of Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will be accountable to lead the Condition Monitoring and Lubrication team and ensure maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities are safely executed against schedules, plans and consistently deliver on its planned maintenance targets on a shift by shift basis

This role will lead, coach and mentor employees, ensure a safe system of work is in place for each activity, develop a continuous improvement culture and ensure the ore handling plant and associated equipment is maintained by the team, utilising the 1SAP framework and supporting the Standardised Work processes.

You will be an inquisitive, team-spirited and outcome focused individual who is passionate about safety and has the ability to build great relationships.

A strength of yours will be your ability to communicate efficiently, ensuring the development of your team through your influencing and relationship management skills. You will be a proactive, credible and influential member of the leadership team whilst building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

You will possess and hold a current full "C" class manual driver’s license.

This role will be Perth based until early 2020, working 5:2, Monday – Friday roster, with occasional site travel. You will then transition to a FIFO role where the roster opportunities will be 2:1 – 7 days, 7 nights, 7 days off or 12 days on 9 days off, but those in pursuit of flexible work arrangements are encouraged to apply.
