About the role

We are seeking a diverse and talented individual to take on the role of Drill and Blast Supervisor at our Mt Keith mine.

Your duties will include:

  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development

  • Lead and coach the team in best operating practices to ensure the highest standards

  • Ensure all working standards are compliant

  • Demonstrate safety leadership and effective management of safety incidents

  • Developing, communicating and executing the Mine Work Plan and allocating resources

  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

  • Provide input into short-medium term planning and support best practice through embedding controlled processes

  • Monitoring key performance measures and sustaining continuous improvement processes

  • Supporting the Superintendent Production Mining in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
  • Minimum of C class manual drivers licence

  • WA Shotfirer License / Dangerous Goods Security Card beneficial

  • Technical expertise across blasting and drilling activities

  • Demonstrated ability supervising teams

  • Excellent verbal communication and leadership skills

  • Experience in pit dewatering systems would be advantagous
