We are currently seeking to augment our team with a highly competent Electrical Supervisor. Reporting to Underground Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and safe execution of all electrical tasks underground, including all statutory obligations as part of our license to operate. All tasks to meet their objectives on time and on budget.

The primary responsibilities of the role will focus on the supervision and co-ordination of internal and external resources required for the successful completion of underground electrical reticulation activities (ie) substation installs/moves, cable installation runs, DB installs/moves, HV work activities. 

Working with BHP work teams, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day co-ordination of all electrical and statutory compliance requirements within, Nickel West’s high standards of Safety and quality of work. The ability to liaise with key stakeholders as well as internal departments in both a professional and effective manner will be a key facilitator in your ability to safely deliver work.

About You

As the successful candidate it is likely that you will offer:
  • An A Grade Electrical Licence 
  • Experience gained in a leadership capacity either as a Step up or Electrical Supervisor 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working in an underground mining environment would be a distinct advantage 
  • Strong work management and planning work ethic, driving a pro-active and planned maintenance work methodology.
  • Prior SAP experience would be highly desirable
  • A current WA C class license
  • Prior underground experience would be highly desirable
  • High Voltage Operator – Highly Regarded 
  • Able and committed to becoming an in-house electrical nominee
