About the role

We are seeking a diverse and talented individual to take on the role of Electrical Supervisor at our Yandi Mine.  Your duties will include:

  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
  • Lead a maintenance execution team and promote operating discipline related to the 1SAP work management processes
  • Ensure timely updates of resource work centre capacity data to enable effective scheduling
  • Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process
  • Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule
  • Ensure safe execution of maintenance work as per the signed of schedule
  • Manage the planning and execution of unplanned work and the re-scheduling of the existing work orders as required
  • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to 1SAP processes and work instructions, and the entering of the relevant transactional data in 1SAP
  • Ensure that team members initiate appropriate master data changes (create, change or delete) to task lists and or work instructions
  • Ensure competency of individual maintainers in the safe execution of their duties
  • Review work execution performance with team members, identify gaps and take corrective action as necessary to improve performance
  • Manage and review events and ensure that escalation protocols are complied with
  • Provide input into the development of maintenance work strategies
  • Close completed work orders to ensure end to end process compliance

About You

As the successful candidate, you will ideally possess the following:
  • Trade/relevant qualification within an equivalent industry and/or organisational experience
  • Valid Australian C class driver’s license
  • HV Electrical license
  • Condition based maintenance qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
  • Experience with Hydraulic systems is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with structured work management processes preferred
Location

You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out  2 and 1 roster.  Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, WI-FI refrigerator and air-conditioning.
