About the role

We are currently looking for a people focused Supervisor keen to lead a multidisciplinary team at our Jimblebar Mine Site. 

This role works within the Infrastructure Maintenance Department where you will lead a small team of both BHP employees and contractors, with safety, work management and continuous improvement anchored as the focus for your position.  

In addition you will play a key role by:
  • Reviewing the schedule of work provided by our Maintenance Centre of Excellence (MCoE), providing comments for alterations where required
  • Providing information, instructions, training and supervision to employees and contractors as to enable them to perform their work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Monitoring and reporting actual work completion and close outs 
  • Actively participating in selection, recruitment and onboarding of direct reports
  • Taking a proactive role in the setting and maintaining of appropriate standards of behaviour
  • Attending Planning Meetings with the wider execution teams and MCoE 
  • Liaising with Supply on material requests and critical spares 
  • Coaching your team to improve the use of 1SAP task lists 

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
  • C Class drivers licence 
  • Exposure to maintenance either within an execution, planning or supervisory capacity 
  • Experience using SAP would be a distinct advantage 
  • Civil earthworks experience would be beneficial
