The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant, this role will see you providing supervision and leadership of the Fixed Plant inflow or outflow teams to safely and cost effectively execute the ore processing production plan, in accordance with processing standards.

This position is also accountable for the coordination of maintenance, operations and mining interactions to maximize the production of the Fixed Plant operation.

About You

You will be a team-spirited and outcome focused leader with a strong technical background within maintenance in the mining industry, who is passionate about safety.

You will have had exposure to processing production plant environment as highly desirable. A strength of yours will be your ability to communicate efficiently, ensuring the development of your team through your influencing and relationship management skills. You will be a proactive, credible and influential member of the leadership team whilst building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

You will possess and hold a current full "C" class manual driver’s license.

This role will be Perth based until early 2020, working a 5:2 Monday – Friday roster, with occasional site travel. You will then transition to a FIFO role where the roster foundation will be 2:1 – 7 days, 7 nights, 7 days off, but those in pursuit of flexible work arrangements are encouraged to apply.
