Our Operations
One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well equipped housing, education, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities. This position is based at Olympic Dam South Australia and is being offered on a 7/7 roster pattern.

About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Production – Hydromet and Solvent Extraction (HydroSX), we currently have an opportunity available for an inclusive and supportive leader to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for HydroSX production performance which will include providing a safe working environment, achieving department targets and the leadership and coordination of daily work activities.
In this role you will:
  • Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
  • Integrate with Maintenance, Project and Technology counterparts to ensure effective, pro-actively planned maintenance
  • Review work practices to ensure best practice in safety, culture, productivity and cost
  • Actively manage employee performance against direct and overarching key performance indicators
  • Promote continuous improvement within the HydroSX area.

About You

Experience with Hazardous Area working environments is desirable, however not essential.Experience within HydroSX or minerals processing is desirable, however not essentialAbility to lead, mentor and coach othersAbility to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplinesDemonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
