About the role

Working as a team member of the Health Security & Emergency Services, this role ensures that all Olympic Dam BHP facilities are prepared for any security related incident, through the management, leadership and coordination of Security activities.   The role is responsible for managing the day to day operation and effectiveness of Security Gatehouses, site access processes, Airport security (passenger and baggage screening), Gold Room security and Village security whilst working closely with Security Contractors and various BHP departments across Olympic Dam. The role also assists in ensuring that Olympic Dam security meet all BHP security requirements of the Security & Emergency Management ‘Our Requirements’. The role will also assist in maintaining the Olympic Dam Crisis and Emergency Management processes, especially where they relate to security.   Safety, cost control, people, communication, and achievement of department KPI targets will also be a priority. Activities will be coordinated with other sections and across the HSE Department in order to create maximum value to Olympic Dam.   This is a residential based role working a 5/2 roster.

About You

Your working experience may be from a police, defence or security management environment which included supervising a team. It is a requirement  of the role that you hold a current South Australian Security Licence, minimum Certificate II in Security Operations (PRS20103) however ideally Certificate IV in Security Operations. Having a Qualification in Australian Inter Service Incident Management would be  desirable as well a  Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships.
