About the role

As a key member of the Engineering & NPI Services Team, the Supervisor Transport is responsible for safe, compliant, efficient and customer focussed aircraft and bus transportation services and airport operations to meet the requirements of the Olympic Dam Operation.   You will have a passion for operational excellence and customer service, and will apply a continuous improvement mindset to improve the traveller experience.   This is a Roxby Downs based position operating on a 7/7 FIFO roster arrangement or residential arrangement.

Role Responsibilities  
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
  • Deliver the transport strategy, with a continuous improvement focus on improving the traveller experience
  • Use the BHP Contractor Management Framework to drive our contract business partners to safely deliver scope of service, quality, statutory and contractual compliance
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve service standards, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace and field leadership activities
  • Establish working relationships with the Services logistics and accommodation operations teams

About You

  • Supervisory experience
  • Desirable transport operations experience
  • Desirable aviation and/or bus transportation contract management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • The ability to work well as a part of a team, and deliver results
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Airport Reporting Officer, Aeronautical Radio Operator, and ability to obtain an ASIC
  • Computer literacy in MS suite of programs and SAP
  • Manual Driver’s license
