The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated supervisor for the Load & Haul area. As a Mining Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the outcome of operations for mining and equipment availability. You will be responsible for supervising the execution of activities undertaken the operations team in line with the production plan and targets for HSEC, Cost, and Volume.

This includes leading and coaching operators in best operating practice, to ensure physical pit conditions such as pit roads, dumps and loading areas are maintained to the highest standard and to ensure safety and working standards are maintained to such an extent that work may be stopped if standards are not met.

About You

We require an individual that can demonstrate substantial supervisory experience, is outcome focused with a passion for safety and the ability to develop robust relationships in a complex environment. 
You will possess a working knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations and a commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on quality maintenance and leadership capability.
