With four underground orebodies being currently mined around old Perseverance Mine and upcoming developments, we are looking for a number of experienced Underground Production Execution Supervisors to join our growing Underground Mining Team at Leinster. Reporting to the Production Superintendent Mining, in these roles you will be responsible for ensuring that the operators on shift meet the agreed targets in in a safe and efficient manner, and that all of the task are completed in line with our policies and procedures. Initially the role will have contractor personnel reporting to it, but will transition to BHP employees over time with the input of this role.

Ultimately, the mining supervisors will be a team of three (3) per shift covering development, production and services, across three (3) or four (4) mining orebodies of open stopping and block caving. We are looking for a people who will champion our BHP Charter Values and foster an inclusive, step-up culture, in which employees are challenged by their daily accountabilities and established career development plans.

Furthermore, Mining Supervisors will be encouraged to identify the improvement opportunities and lead the change management initiatives to advance our processes, methods and systems

About You

• WA Underground Supervisor Certificate / ticket as mandatory
• Previous experience in a similar role with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead change, engage and develop team members
• Must have underground mining experience
• Must have step up supervisor or Supervisor experience
• Well established verbal and written communication skills
• Sound time management, problem solving and analytical competencies• Strong commitment to maintaining operational disciplines and meeting ag
eed targets; and
• A current manual Australian driver's license.

Nickel West Leinster
Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.
