About the role

This is a great opportunity to join a close knit team who support each other and are willing to share their knowledge to develop the successful candidate in this role.
We’ll set you up for success in the role where you’ll do swings of both day and nightshift. We have a 24 hour QAQC team in operations so this is a rare opportunity for a Surveying professional to be exposed to nightshift.
You’ll also be involved in:
  • Planning daily surveying tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate survey records, databases and control network.
  • Survey control of horizontal and vertical development.
  • Setout of rings, ground support, diamond drilling and raise bores.
  • CMS of stopes and other voids.
  • QAQC of mining development.
  • EOM surveys and calculations.
  • Maintain mine plans to meet Mine Department requirements
  • Regular maintenance and calibration of Surveying Equipment.
  • Ensuring the survey control network is maintained and progressed

About You

  • Tertiary Qualification – Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying.
  • WA Mine Survey Authorisation Grade 1 (Desirable).
  • 2+ years underground mine surveying experience (Desirable). 
  • Competent in the use of mine surveying applications such as Deswik, Leica total stations, Optech CMS and Trimble GPS.
  • Strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and Duty of Care.
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Current "C" class manual drivers licence.
  • A strong commitment to contribute to the site safety culture.
