About the role


Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor with the Field Mobile Maintenance team some of your responsibilities may include:
  • Preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on Mobile fleet consisting of Liebherr 996 & 9400 excavators, (Atlas Copco) Epiroc PV271 & D65 Surface Drill Rigs
  • Following specific maintenance programs and carrying out inspections on mobile fleet as required
  • Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard
  • Carrying out daily inspections on excavator and drill fleet in pit as required  
  • Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies on the mobile fleet  
  • Identifying and rectifying faults during inspections 
  • Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work the mobile fleet
  • Working from OEM schematic drawings, manuals, and SIS/ Quick Serve
  • Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment 
  • Assisting in implementation of 5S, Safety improvement projects and standardized work 
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
  • Ensure returns of unused or reparable materials are processed accurately
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities 
  • Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions 
  • Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
  • Executing tasks to a high standard and in a timely matter

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
  • Cert III in Automotive Electrical 
  • Automotive Refrigerant Handling Licence 
  • Demonstrate sound diagnostic abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely in a team environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining, FIFO exposure advantageous
  • Computer Literacy (SAP exposure advantageous but not essential)  
  • Valid Australian C Class licence essential, HR driver’s license desirable
  • High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), desirable
  • Experience working with Liebherr Excavators or Epiroc Drills desirable
  • Cummins engine experience advantageous
