About the role

An opportunity exists for a qualified Strip and Clean Technician to work with at our Olympic Dam asset performing planned, unplanned and or breakdown strip and clean activities on items from across the surface and underground facilities.

In this role you will:
  • Your responsibilities will include, dismantling materials from across the Olympic Dam asset, ensure the items are cleaned to an acceptable clearance level and prepared to be delivered to the suitable vendors for repairs.
  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress
  • Liaise closely with the Work Management Planning and Inventory Planning functions to assist in optimising the forecasting with suppliers and ensure the delivery of required components as per maintenance schedules

About You

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and functions
  • Experience in relevant operational discipline
  • High level of computer literacy skills, including 1SAP/Fiori
  • You will have proven ability to work autonomously across multiple teams and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and associated systems and practices, including OGA and radiation clearance of materials
  • You will have experience in component overhauls of fixed plant, mobile plant or rail equipment
  • High Risk Licence - Working at heights, Confined Space, Forklift and EWP (desirable);
  • Have an overriding commitment to Health & Safety;
  • You will have technical knowledge of repairables as to be able to assist in informing Asset Management standards and specifications
