About the role

Reporting to the Manager of Technology Autonomous Operation, your key responsibilities will include:
  • To provide leadership and direction to the site Technology team to safely execute IT/OT services.
  • To supervise the execution of Technology activities undertaken by Technology site operational personnel, in line with the work management plan and targets for HSEC, Culture and Productivity.
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership to promote a culture of zero harm through appropriate time in the field and embedment of personal safety back to basics (work management, Task Based Risk Management, Field Leadership and Quality Investigations).
  • Lead and coach site Technology Specialist Technicians in best operating practice, to ensure highest technology standards are maintained and to ensure safety and working standards are met to such an extent that work may be stopped if standards are not adhered to.
  • Embed our continuous improvement methodology and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within the autonomous site and Technology sub functions.
  • Ensure each process activity performed by Site Operations Technology team is optimised and reliably produces the right output at each stage to provide smooth, stable flow across all process steps, delivering product and services, effectively and efficiently to the customer.
  • Provides single accountable on-site point of contact for all technology systems supporting the operation.

About You

We are interested in hearing from experienced, engaging and organised supervisors with a strong work ethic and, high degree of business acumen and stakeholder management experience. You will have a relevant qualification (Trade or STEM) in an area such as IT, OT or Electronics (amongst others), and will have a strong background in leading successfully operated teams, including leading change, engaging, developing teams and managing workflows effectively. Your strong people skills will mean you can communicate and build relationships with different teams, whilst engaging and influencing stakeholders. 

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a supervisor within a technology focused environment. Ideally leading teams of 8+, with a strong focus on health & safety, driving a positive culture and driving accountability and performance. 
  • Trade Certificate or STEM qualified within a relevant field
  • Stakeholder management experience
