About the role

If you are passionate about training and having a diverse role with exposure to a number of processing plants and port operations, then this newly created role is a great opportunity.   

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Control, you will have the opportunity to support a large team of controllers to identify, standardize and improve training performance across nine processing plants and the Hay Point Coal Terminal.  This is a Brisbane based role with a 5 / 2 roster and frequent site travel  
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:  
  • Build and lead a team of Training Specialist to conduct control room training
  • Actively update training material to ensure the material reflects current state and remains of a high standard
  • Identify, prioritize and support training continuous improvement initiatives

About You

If you are an organised, outcome focused and energetic person who is passionate about the improving training and have the ability to build great relationships, then you will be an ideal candidate to be part of our team.
Ideally you will also possess some of the following:
  • Supervisory experience or experience in leading teams
  • Minerals processing and/or control room experience
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Relationship management capability inclusive of successfully influencing and leading successful change in a challenging environment
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen as well as managing technical risk to implement improvement initiatives
  • An understanding of the QLD & NSW Mining Act and Regulations
