About the role

The Global Petroleum Delivery team is responsible for managing all Technology projects across the Petroleum value chain.  It encompasses a wide range of disciplines including Infrastructure, Applications, and Data Management along with data science. The team is accountable for all aspects of the project management process, consistent delivery practices.  We work closely with the business sponsors to ensure requirements and objectives are understood and properly executed so business value is obtained.

In this role you will:
  • Be involved both strategic and advisory elements across the Trion Project as well as hands on management, and analysis of technical approaches.  Bring together diverse cross functional team from both Technology and Petroleum that will identify technical solutions to meet the business objective.
  • Looks forward and anticipate as well as ability to review what has happened and learn from it
  • Facilitate creative and innovative solutions while maintaining pragmatic view point
  • Interface to larger Technology Capability teams supporting Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Systems Engineering to leverage previous work and ensure alignment between program solution and Technology roadmap/blueprint/support
  • Interfacing with Key Stakeholders and Solution Delivery lead to understand impacts of strategies and digital/application initiatives as well as gaps on the infrastructure requirements to ensure they can be supported
  • Create business case, options and cost models that support business requirements
  • Study feasibility of new initiatives, assesses emerging opportunities, leads pilot studies, and addresses organizational readiness, sustainability, risks and challenges
  • Utilizes best practices and market knowledge to deliver innovative solutions to functional areas while maintaining global business objectives and standards
  • Ensure Study Programs / Projects consider and deliver designs that meet the relevant stakeholder requirements relating to operational readiness, safety, design stability, security and value.  
  • Ensure that all documentation required by the Studies process is of the highest quality and accuracy, and made available in accordance with the study schedule.
  • Development of Real Time infrastructure requirements for Subsea, Rotating equipment and Process Control Systems and to ensure adherence to existing production reporting and data historian environments.
  • Provides advice to function and line management on technology and best practices

About You

You will have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering/Math/Science Discipline, or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Computer Science with preferably an advance degree.  You have a proven track record with at least 10-15 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of project complexity and responsibilities in petroleum / mining industry with IT Operational experience.  With this experiences, you have demonstrated a breadth, diversity of interests, ability to handle multiple agendas; balancing multiple objectives to optimize business results.

You have successfully driven collaboration within the team to ensure effective selection of technical solutions, effectively communicated directions to team and business. Your experiences show that you have been able to bring a diverse team along the technical journey as well as value and incorporate their input.  You have demonstrated your current knowledge and future vision of technology.   And most important your willingness to make decisions, render judgments, take action, or make commitments in the face of uncertainty.
