About the role

The role is principally accountable for ensuring the design of optimal water infrastructure systems and the technical delivery of dewatering and surplus water to enable the mine plan. Reporting to the Superintendent Water Engineering, you will play an integral role by:  
  • Providing design input into the management of surplus water 
  • Contributing to development of the 5 year and life of mine water management plans, growth stage reports and approval submissions; 
  • Facilitating and occasionally direct the work of contractors and consultants
  • The design of water pipelines, pump stations and associated infrastructure
  • Act as clients representative during the design and construction of water engineering schemes
  • Provide input and guidance to site operational teams on dewatering infrastructure operation / design 

About You

As the successful applicant you will possess the following:
  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering 
  • Workplace experience in technical water engineering 
  • A strong grasp of technical problems with the ability to succinctly frame the work required to appropriately solve problems 
  • Strong communication skills; formal and informal, verbal and written.  
  • The ability to influence stakeholders by setting direction and providing sufficient communications to encourage buy-in and commitment at all levels. 


You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
