About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Planning & Asset Health the Work Management Planner develops, maintains and communicates work plans for an assigned equipment type and area of responsibility, aligned with 1SAP Work Management Processes and the Total Equipment Strategy. In this role you will leverage work management processes and systems to embed standard work in a safe, repeatable way, facilitating a transparent, visible and detailed rolling 12 week plan, as well as combining planning and production to deliver an integrated plan. You will be a critical contributor to successful delivery of sustainable performance for the business, providing a data driven baseline from which to execute, analyse and improve.In this role you will:
  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Deliver a high volume of sequenced work packages to the Scheduler
  • Review notifications and create work orders for approved scopes of work
  • Plan to a high quality and consider the 12 week Rolling Major Events Calendar and relevant Total Equipment Strategies
  • Accurately resource work packages prior to scheduling, as well as create required part demands and liaise with Inventory Planners
  • Establish relationships with Supply and maintain regular engagement to ensure parts and materials are delivered on time
  • Sequence work allowing for optimisation by the scheduler
  • Liaise with the Asset Management Planner to understand Asset Health and allocation of work
  • Identify opportunities for standardisation across sites, as well as increasing efficiency and accuracy through repetition of tasks
  • Develop SAP Master Data to embed Standard Work Packages into Task Lists
  • Identify errors in Master Data and resolve inconsistencies

About You

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Knowledge of Planning and Scheduling processes and/or logistics and coordination, exposure to shutdown planning will be highly regarded
  • Awareness of cost management and forecasting processes
  • Ability to draw inferences from multiple data sources and integrate into a single deliverable
  • Capable of working in a structured way and value working to routines
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering planning through standardised systems and processes
  • Proactive communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to continuously changing work environments
  • Ability to collaborate with peer groups and client groups to share feedback and resolve problems
  • Well-developed attention to detail, task oriented, with a bias towards automation, simplification and improvement
