About The Role

 

As an Administration Assistant supporting the Goonyella Production Team, you’ll play an important role in keeping our day to day operations running smoothly. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organised, and contributing to a positive team environment. Click HERE to learn more about working at Goonyella 


You’ll work closely with leaders, supervisors and team members to provide reliable administrative support, coordinate workflows and ensure key tasks are completed on time. This is a dynamic role where your attention to detail, communication style and ability to build strong relationships will be highly valued.


In this role, you will:


•    Provide daily administrative support to the Production leadership team
•    Assist with scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars and organising site logistics
•    Prepare documents, reports, presentations and team communications
•    Help manage inboxes, coordinate follow ups and track action items
•    Support onboarding activities and maintain accurate employee records
•    Enter, update and manage data within internal systems
•    Assist with site access requirements, training bookings and compliance documentation
•    Build strong working relationships across departments and support open communication
•    Contribute to a friendly, respectful and inclusive team culture

About You

 

You’re someone who enjoys helping others, staying organised and creating a smooth, supportive experience for the people you work with. You bring a calm, thoughtful approach to busy days and feel comfortable working with a variety of personalities and roles.


You will bring:


•    Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
•    A warm, approachable communication style
•    A genuine enjoyment of teamwork and building positive relationships
•    Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•    High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
•    A proactive mindset, with the confidence to follow up and gently keep things moving
•    Experience in administration, coordination or office support (mining experience not required)
•    A willingness to learn site systems and processes
•    Reliability, professionalism and a supportive attitude toward colleagues
•    Previous experience in mining, heavy industry or large scale operations
•    Experience with site systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors or equivalent
