About the Role

 

As a PS&D Administrative and Team Assistant located in Manila, you will play a vital role within a central team focused on providing administrative and procurement assistance to our global PS&D team. This position showcases your experience in managing purchase orders (POs) and invoice requests, while ensuring smooth communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Along with offering global PO support, you will collaborate with the local Decision Evaluation (DE) team to carry out important administrative tasks and foster a positive team culture to improve operational efficiency.


Accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Key office functions and tasks: Executes processes that efficiently manage key administrative tasks, as directed by local DE manager
  • Perform purchase requisition/purchase order (PR/PO) activities and eNOI’s (one off invoice payment requests), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies 
  • Work proactively to resolve any purchasing issues, identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Support the efficiency of processing PO’s and administrative tasks by maintaining strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team environment and/or work unsupervised, including setting priorities and monitoring own workflows to deliver a timely and quality service
  • Contribute to the culture of inclusion, learning, friendship, positivity and productivity - in line with BHP and PS&D values.

Key requirements to be successful in this role include the following: 

 

  • Knowledge and experience in a procurement support role with an understanding of good corporate governance practices
  • Experience in undertaking administrative tasks, with good organisational ability and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and seek support or guidance where required
  • Experience using SAP software 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite, with advanced excel skills
  • Tertiary Qualification in Business, Administration or related field
  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
