Our Operations
One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well-equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
This position is based at Olympic Dam on a 20 hours per week job share arrangement, 8 hour days, working 2 days on – 3 days off, then 3 days on – 2 days off, within a Monday to Friday work week on-site at Olympic Dam. Reporting to the Surface Administration Coordinator.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position being offered on a residential only basis.
About the Role
The role will involve you being a proactive team member who provides administrative support for execution and technical teams across Olympic Dam Smelter operations.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with your back-to-back Administrator to provide support to Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors in all administration tasks and projects
- Support the Leadership team with a range of administrative tasks
- Diary and email management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of daily activities for Managers.
- Preparing agendas, presentations and coordinating meeting logistics
- Creation and preparation of reports and communications across the Production Team
- Actively identify improvement opportunities and time optimization solutions to forward plan work and ensure effectiveness of leadership team
- Process site access requests, travel and accommodation bookings, Expense management and reconciliation.
About You
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
- Ideally possess previous experience in a similar administration role
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with a working knowledge of 1SAP (or a similar enterprise application)
- Ability to work effectively within the Olympic Dam operations and functional teams
- Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines and work collaboratively across teams
- Flexibility in the way you approach your work and prioritise tasks
