About the Role

• Processes invoice and service entry sheet payments, reconciles goods received against invoices received and resolves vendor queries to achieve timely and accurate payment processing.  

• Procurement to payment of materials and services of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right place, from the right source and at the right time.  

• Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value.  

• Supports the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximise operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk.  

• Mitigates people, community, human rights and modern slavery, environmental and climate risks across the value chain, in alignment with public policy and our sustainability and climate commitments.  

• Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.  

• Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.  

• Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.  

• Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs. 

About You

  • Minimum Degree in any field and /or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity in 1SAP module and Microsoft Office Suite SAP, Procure to Pay or similar ERP P2P processes is a must
  • Possess good working knowledge of process improvement processes and methodology
  • Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships and working with and influencing a range of cross functional stakeholders. 
  • Ability to prioritise workload, Good analytical, investigative and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal will be essential in this role.
  • Interpersonal abilities to work effectively across functions.
  • Experience working within Purchasing, Payment Services and Supply/Commercial teams in the resource industry
  • Exposure within Warehousing, Inventory, Repairable Management, Commodities and Services Purchasing is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
