About the Role
We seek a well-rounded and dynamic individual to join our team as Analyst Accounts Receivable & Payable.
Reporting to the Lead Accounts Receivable & Payable, the Accounts Receivable & Payable Analyst will ensure that all Accounts Receivable & Payable activities are performed in a timely, accurate & efficient manner and in accordance with Group and International Accounting standards.
Accountabilities
- Processing of sundry receivables transactions (including the generation of internal/external invoices).
- Manage sundry receipts clearing, including investigation and follow up with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely allocations
- Clearing and allocation of internal and external receipts.
- Participate in the financial period end close process by ensuring all sundry accounts receivables and intercompany tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Review of weekly payment exception reports, with items actioned/escalated as appropriate.
- Prepare and submit master data change requests.
- Monitoring of daily banking transactions and correct allocation of unidentified cash movements
- Addressing queries, processing ad hoc journals and other ad hoc cash requirements
- Reconciliation of relevant general ledgers to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, follow up with stakeholders and clear reconciling items
- Preparation and processing of accounts payable journals and manage accounts payable clearing, including investigation and follow up with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely resolution
- Identify and implement incremental process improvement opportunities
- Contribute to and support global process standardization within Finance and continuous improvement
- Support the open communication of ideas and information within the Finance team
- Support SOX compliance and testing by ensuring the internal controls in place are performed effectively and address the associated risks
- Participate with internal and external audit requirements including information requests, process or financial balance queries and testing of controls
- Assist in preparation of briefing papers and Stewardship Review at financial reporting dates
About You
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in Accounting or General Finance
- Pursuing professional finance qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA) will be an advantage
Technical Competencies
- Experience in SAP application
- Competent in Microsoft excel
- Knowledge of accounting principles for application to tasks and processes
- Problem solving – uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
