About the Role


We seek a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an Analyst of Commercial Due Diligence in the Due Diligence team. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for the end to end process of the BHP Vendor Onboarding and to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data


  • Act as a single point of contact between all the customers involved in the Vendor Onboarding process
  • Diligently perform and coordinate anti-corruption and sanctions risk assessment activities with request originators, suppliers and Compliance Professionals
  • Monitor conditions of workflow and approvals across the Vendor Onboarding process
  • Validates Master Data requests to ensure all data and supporting documentation is provided, accurate and approved and that duplications are not generated in the system
  • Creates master data in SAP system based on completed and validated request forms
  • Monitors requests and tasks in the SAP notification tool and ensures the status of each request is up to date
  • Liaises with requestors where further clarification of their request is required
  • Ensures all customers receive responsive services within the approved Service Level Agreement (focusing on quality and timeliness)
  • Drive operational best practices and standardization by ensuring alignment with and compliance to internal controls including Group Level Documents, SOX controls, Master Data Design Standards (MDDS) and legal requirements relevant to Master Data as well as alignment with Due Diligence standard process
  • Identifies any breach of controls//procedures or other fraud risks and escalates these to the Team Specialist or Team Leader on a timely basis
  • Effectively communicates with all stakeholders, including internal and external customers
  • Ensure coordination and integration with other team members
  • Develops understanding of the integration between Master Data and linked business processes including Contracts, Purchasing, Accounts Payables
  • Open to developing knowledge through cross-skilling in other processes within the team

About You


  • Ability to analyse substantial amounts of data, identify red flags, other areas of concern and escalate matters requiring the attention of the Compliance Team
  • Experience with the processing of SAP Master Data
  • Strong computer literacy, including experience in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge database applications and exposure to ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of process improvement processes and methodology
  • Attention to detail, good analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across teams and functions 
  • Fluent English & Spanish, both verbal and written
  • Capability to communicate in Spanish, verbally and in writing, is preferable
