About the Role

 

We are looking for a driven individual to join our dynamic team, responsible to the accurate execution of global reward (Rem&Ben) operational activities on a timely manner, in line with the Global Business Services (GBS) Ops Plan, Group Level Documents, Standard Operating Procedures and legislation

Main accountabilities:

 

  • Providing support in RO’s regular operational activities such as case management, job grading, and remuneration and benefits administration. 
  • Following the Reward Operations Support model, acting as tier 3 support for inquiries and other Reward related queries. Where needed, provide references to internal or external salary data, and provide additional insights on applicable local entity policies and well-established market practices. 
  • Answering remuneration and benefits enquiries from employees and business leaders in relation to the application of BHP remuneration philosophy, policies and frameworks. 
  • Execution of the organization's benefit programs as applicable or as assigned, including but not limited to managing vendor relationships, benefits enrolment, contract renewals, contract compliance, and distribution processes. 
  • Performing reporting duties for internal and external remuneration requirements
  • Acting as support or Point-of-Contact in the execution of any of the following RO projects, including but not limited to annual reward review, labor budget assumptions, market data analysis, market data submission and pay equity reviews. 
  • Performing reward-related ad-hoc activities as required by the business. 
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture in RO and propose initiatives to RO processes, consistent with best practices. 
  • Working with the RO and HR teams for the successful implementation of CI endeavors. 
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to address process gaps, changing business landscape within the clearly defined remit, act as a channel to our local reward SMEs on challenging or complex reward topics and partner with stakeholders to arrive at a resolution.
  • To plot, maintain, and monitor of identified ideas and continuous improvement initiatives in KaiNexus or other applicable systems/platforms. 
  • Champion the values of the Organization by demonstrating the same in the workplace, exuding professionalism and respect, and ensuring compliance to Company policies. 
  • The role may step up to execute higher scoped activities for asset or task specific RO processes as part of developmental plan. 
  • To provide support to Reward Operations team and/or People Systems Team during BCP Situation or in time of business crisis or capacity crisis.

About You

 

The successful candidate should possess:

 

  • Degree or equivalent education or experience preferred. 
  • At least 6 months of experience on benefit administration and relevant compensation and benefit processes. 
  • Ability to process high volume, clearly defined transactions. 
  • Ability to organize and plan activity well. 
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable while finding innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to work under pressure especially during peak time of the project. 
  • Critical thinking and to act quickly to resolve issue and risk.
  • Organization and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple and parallel activities, and competing priorities. 
  • Communication skills including the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and explain complex issues. 
  • Ability to effectively work with employees across all levels of the organization. 
  • Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel and Outlook 
  • Fluent English, both verbal and written. 
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.
  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
  • Understanding of our customer needs.
