About the Role

 

  • Ensures compliance with the BHP Charter, Code of Conduct, Our Requirements (ORs), Group Level Documents (GLDs), Functional Level Requirements (FLRs) and Business Level Documents (BLDs).
  • Demonstrates an overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC).
  • Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders that are critical in the performance of the role, whilst adhering to the Charter values.
  • Undertakes GCMS, 1SAP and PCMS support activities relevant to Commercial processes with a committed sense of accountability for the associated outcomes. 
  • Supports accurate completion of all data within systems and tools used to capture data and identify issues within the data, such as missing values, outliers, possible errors, and lack of sufficient data to progress requirements.
  • Performs documented Commercial processes relevant to the role, appropriately evidenced to support Business and Functional governance and assurance requirements.
  • Supports identifying and executing opportunities to improve output, process automation, standardisation or simplify people, process and/ or tools. 
  • Assists sourcing activity to maximise commercial outcomes and mitigate exposure and risks.
  • Assists in identifying and assessing risks, uses BHP's risk management framework, and supports a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.  
  • Is aware of other relevant teams and capabilities in the entire organisation.  
  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.  
  • Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.  
  • Is aware of the business plan and expectations to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

About You

 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a procurement role 
  • Experience in large multinational companies’ or a projects environment would be advantageous. 
  • Able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Good commercial and business acumen 
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other digital productivity tools and systems
  • Previous commercial, project management or quantity surveying experience on capital projects in the mining, resources or oil and gas industry would be well regarded.
