About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Production Execution at Area C, this role is responsible for analysing performance and determining how to best define, prioritise, plan, and implement improvements that safely deliver maximum value to the business. You will provide specialist advice to the department, conduct analysis and benchmarking of Mining Production’s end-to-end performance, and lead improvement initiatives that drive functional excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor, develop, and improve data management systems including Minestar FMS, Helix, Spotfire, Business Objects, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Benchmark, monitor, and analyze production processes and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track weekly and monthly performance metrics to ensure adherence to operational plans.
  • Collaborate with the execution team to develop practical, safe, and sustainable solutions that enhance mining stability and capability.
  • Support solution implementation by facilitating change management, driving accountability for plans, and validating that projects deliver value.

About You

This analyst role is critical on-site and requires a strategic and analytical thinker capable of identifying improvements through data analysis. The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • A recognized tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • A proven track record of continuous improvement and successful project delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience working in remote environments is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with fleet management software such as Minestar, Surface Manager, or DAS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Business Objects or Power BI is considered an advantage.
