About the Role 
 
Safety underpins all that we do at BHP, and with that we are seeking experienced Mining Ancillary Operators who will continue to drive our focus to deliver a safe and inclusive work environment. We operate a large-scale mining fleet and offer the opportunity to expand your skill set and invest in your career.  We provide - equipment upskilling, leadership development, Quarry Manager certification and tertiary education support, are only some of the benefits that we offer to our employees.

 

You will be based at our ‘Area C’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out 2:1 or Flexible roster.  Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms North West of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.  


About You


As a successful Ancillary Operator, you will have:

 

  • A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • The confidence to safely operate in a large open cut environment
  • The ability to work well in, and contribute to an inclusive team environment
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • An ability to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure
  • An Australian C Class manual drivers’ licence or higher

 

In addition, you will have experience operating at least two of the below machines:

 

  • Haul trucks: CAT793F, CAT793D, CAT793D
  • Dozers: CATD10, CATD11, CAT854K
  • Loaders: WA1200, CAT992
  • Excavators: EX9400, EX996/9600
  • Graders: CAT16, CAT18
