About the Role
Provides leadership to a team or teams focussed on execution of projects, including integration and interface management across the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery in line with the approved statement of requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manages contract execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk.
- Monitors and manages project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope.
- Develops integrated project deliverables and integrates project work across projects through interfacing with stakeholders and managing the successful transition of project/phase closure.
- Explores and iteratively reassesses the best fit solutions, takes ownership of project decisions and outcomes and monitors and manages impacts to value across the project lifecycle (e.g. social, environmental, commercial).
- Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
- Applies and evaluates change management tools, methods, data, purpose, value and strategic direction.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.
- Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
- Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.
About You
- Experience in complex brownfields and greenfields projects within a mining and processing environment.
- Demonstrated background in Construction or Engineering Management.
- Extensive experience with proven people management capability.
- Experience delivering large-scale construction projects end-to-end.
- Strong contract and risk management experience.
- Proven ability to deliver within scope, budget, and safety standards.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and project interfaces.
- Track record of data-driven decision-making in complex environments.
