About the Role

 

Nickel West currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Integrity Specialist to join their Maintenance Integrity Asset team based at their Leinster site.  

 

In this role your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Champion the reduction of site based risks.
  • Develop both internal and external scopes or work for structural steel packages and structural repairs.
  • Review and evaluate external tender scopes of work.
  • Oversee external contractors executing works on site.
  • Be the point of contact for engineering technical support for the Asset Integrity team.
  • Ensure engineering standards and specifications are adhered to in the operations of the Asset Integrity team.
  • Liaise with Superintendent in the tracking and reporting of structural defects.
  • Mentor the Asset Integrity team in regards to structural engineering standards.
  • Work with peers from the operations and maintenance departments to resolve asset Integrity issues in order to deliver optimal plant performance.

As part of the Asset Integrity team, the following attributes will be key to your success:

 

  • Tertiary and or Trade qualifications and demonstrated experience working in the structural or construction industry fields.
  • Experience and sound knowledge of Asset Integrity through maintenance and/or projects execution.
  • Well-developed communication skills and an ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Strong site based knowledge of structural steelwork repairs and replacement.

 

 

Location

 

The role is working on a Fly in Fly out basis from Perth to Leinster (flexible roster arrangements available).  Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.  As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Leinster.
