About the Role

The Olympic Dam Security team welcome applications for multiple new Asset Protection Officer roles. As a BHP employee, you will play a meaningful role in the safe and efficient execution of security activities across our Olympic Dam operations and villages.

 

This position is based at Olympic Dam and is offered on a 7:7 roster (days & nights) either DIDO, FIFO from Adelaide or residential in Roxby Downs. Flexible work options will be considered.

 

Reporting to the Security Supervisor, you will:

 

  • Conduct drug & alcohol testing;
  • Ensure compliance of the village rules and site security controls;
  • Manage access to site by checking identification passes;
  • Respond to security incidents onsite and offsite in BHP villages;
  • Support continuous security process improvements;
  • Assists in developing, enhancing and writing operating standards, procedures and work instructions;
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and other data entry as required;
  • Relieve other Security department roles as required including Site Access Officer and Security & Emergency Management Control Room Operator; and
  • Participate in any other projects or key tasks as directed by Security Supervisor/ Security and Emergency Services Leadership team.

 

About You

Previous mining or security experience is not required – bring a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills and we can teach you the rest!
