About the Role

 

Are you a skilled Auto Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with heavy haulage and mining equipment in a dynamic, hands-on environment? Join our team at the Mobile Maintenance Workshop in Newman, where you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.


As an Auto Electrician at the WAIO Newman West site, you will deliver ongoing preventative, planned, and routine maintenance through essential mobile services. You’ll work primarily in the Mobile Maintenance Workshop, benefiting from a consistent, well-equipped environment, and stay at the same camp during each rostered period for added stability and familiarity.

 

This role operates on a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) basis from Perth, with a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on and 7 nights off, providing a balanced work-life structure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs on the electrical systems of heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Using diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical faults and malfunctions.
  • Managing spare parts for maintained equipment from on-site or off-site warehouses.
  • Contributing to safety compliance and adhering to OH&S standards in a mining environment.
  • Supporting a positive, team-oriented and safety-focused work culture.
