About the Role
Reporting to the Port Laboratory Supervisor, working in the Port Production Laboratory which is a fully automated, robotically driven facility. You will be a motivated, inclusive individual capable of providing quality results.
Your duties will include:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Drive and encourage accountability and culture within the team, promoting positive relationships.
- Provide diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs to maintain equipment availability.
- Continuous improvements to Laboratory equipment and systems.
- Liaise with multiple departments to maintain and improve automated equipment.
- Escalate and propose continuous improvement initiatives and diligently implement changes.
- Execute planned work tasks in a timely manner as scheduled.
- SME for Laboratory automated equipment and Prepmaster software.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- A post-secondary electrical or electromechanical trade qualification or certificate in Instrumentation, fitting, mechatronics, electrical field or proven equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in control systems, mechanical, electrical, pneumatics and technology.
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics experience.
- Ability to learn Prepmaster and other Lab specific software.
- S26 approved
- Effective communications skills, along with strong problem solving.
- Experience operating automated robotic equipment highly desirable.
- Out of the box thinker with great initiatives.
- Positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
- An open C Class driver’s license.
