BHP 2027 Graduate Program (other disciplines)

At BHP, we believe the best tomorrow is built through working, learning and innovating together and through this connection, building your skills for now, and the future. Come and join us in the 2027 Graduate Program.

Please note: If you are studying, or recently graduated in Mining, Geology or Technology related fields, please submit your application to the relevant advert at careers.bhp.com. For all other disciplines of study, please read and apply via the link below. Only one application is required.

About the Role
The 24-month BHP Graduate Program brings people together to learn, build capability and gain confidence for the future. You’ll build on the foundations you gained at university while developing skills that support a lifelong career.

From day one, you’ll have structured onboarding, guided learning paths and support from your graduate cohort, your buddy and leaders who are passionate about helping you grow. You’ll work on meaningful projects across resources, technology, decarbonisation and safe, sustainable operations, gaining hands on experience.

Join a workplace where your ideas matter, your development is prioritised and you can see the impact of your work. Many graduates say the friendships, networks and support they build during the program are among the most rewarding parts, and many of BHP’s leaders began their own careers right here.

What You’ll Experience as a BHP Graduate
Depending on your discipline and preferred location, your role may be based in a residential community, city office, or operate on a Fly in Fly out (FIFO) roster. Western Australia’s Iron Ore assets are primarily FIFO, Queensland’s Coal operations are largely residential, and South Australia’s Copper Operations offer a mix of both.

We encourage you to consider the commitment, lifestyle, responsibilities and opportunities each working environment provides. In addition, you will:

  • Learn how the resources sector operates by collaborating with skilled people and contributing to real projects and business challenges.
  • Strengthen your capability by building your innovation and problem-solving abilities to help shape improvements.
  • Learn how to communicate effectively, while building core work skills like prioritising, managing change, staying curious and developing a growth mindset.
