Positions
We are offering a number of exciting opportunities across our Western Australia Iron Ore business, for people looking for an opportunity to join our business with limited or no industry experience for our fly in fly out operations. BHP have designed site based programs to develop cultured, engaged, highly skilled and work ready employees, providing you with industry-leading training and mentoring by some of BHP's talented workforce.

- Mining Production ‘New to Industry’ (Certificate II in Surface Extraction) – As a participant in this program you will learn about the ‘Mining Load & Haul’ operations. You will be trained as a Haul Truck Operator with potential opportunities to upskill on ancillary equipment.
- Mine Services ‘New to Industry’ (Certificate II in Surface Extraction) - As a participant in this program you will learn about Mine Services/Ancillary operations.
- Drill and Blast Traineeships (Certificate II in Surface Extraction) - As a trainee, you will learn all about the blasting operations and gain exposure in the ‘drilling department’. You will be trained on the shot as part of the blast crew with potential opportunities to be upskilled on other equipment in the blasting area.
- Processing Production Traineeships (Certificate II in Resource Processing) - As a trainee, you will learn all about our Processing Production Plant, screening and crushing of our ore product.

Applicants wishing to apply for these BHP FIFO opportunities must meet the following criteria:
- Have residence in Western Australia
- Hold a C class driver's licence
- Strong commitment to your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven attendance record (recent school or employment history)
- A high commitment to safety systems and procedures
- Enthusiasm to learn and motivation to succeed
- Demonstrate basic administrative and/or computing skills
