About the Role

Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Superintendent Performance Reporting, The Specialist Business Performance will assist in the development and support of key workbench tools, enabling insights into People, Culture and Safety operations in an efficient and accurate way. You will work within a team of domain analysts and maximise value for BHP by:

 

  • Playing a critical role in data gathering, treatment of data for modelling and enabling reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders

  • Analysing and understanding of data requirements to create end to end data solutions

  • Facilitating and participating in data analysis with internal and external stakeholders

  • Designing and documenting business requirements and specifications

  • Ensuring ongoing knowledge transfer and extensive documentation on design, support and validation of key data platform tools

  • Fostering a culture of innovation – and look for innovative opportunities

About You

You will have the ability to consolidate, analyse and present information to differing stakeholders and working groups in an articulate and relatable manner. Solutions oriented, you communicate well with others, contribute to identify improvement opportunities and enjoy a collaborative team. Ideally, you will demonstrate the following:
 

  • Strong problem solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions

  • Experience in designing solutions using business intelligence tools such as Spotfire or similar

  • Ability to apply integrative thinking, develop strategic advice, deliver briefings on complex issues and be alert to risks and opportunities

  • Possess a high-level of experience with MS Excel reporting 

  • Ability to translate user reporting requirements and strategic drivers into sustainable analytics products

  • Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders across differing business areas
