Are you an experienced Fixed Plant Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity?  We want you to be part of our dynamic Fixed Plant team in the Bowan Basin!

 

 

About the Role:  

 

We are seeking qualified Electricians to apply for opportunities with our Maintenance East team across the Bowan Basin; Saraji, Peak Downs, Caval Ridge and Goonyella sites.

 

You will be responsible for completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on CHPP Fixed Plant Equipment. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Apply your expertise to maintain our fixed plant and site infrastructure.
  • Breakdown and Shutdown Support: Be ready to tackle challenges and keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Modular Type Works: Collaborate with our electrical teams on various projects.
  • Contributing to Our Safety and Continuous Improvement Culture: Be an active participant in enhancing our safety standards and practices.
  • Maintain a High-Level Working Knowledge of Safety Processes: Ensure you are up-to-date with all safety protocols.
  • Inspection, Servicing, Adjustment, Troubleshooting, and Repair: Handle all aspects of plant and infrastructure equipment maintenance.
  • Sound Understanding of Maintenance Management Principles: Apply your knowledge to optimize maintenance activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
  • Proficiency with Computer-Based Planning Systems: Ideally, be familiar with 1SAP & Fiori.
  • Accurate Documentation and Data Entry: Ensure all records are meticulously maintained.
  • Corrective Work Application: Facilitate the planning process through adequate corrective measures.
  • Monitoring Asset Integrity: Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance and inspection requirements.

 

Rosters:

 

7/7 Roster: Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with one week on, one week off.

4/3 Roster: Benefit from a flexible work arrangement with four days on, three days off.

 

 

About You:

 

The successful applicant will have previous Fixed Plant CPP Electrician experience as well as the following skills:

 

  • Australia Recognized Trade Qualification (Electrician)
  • Current Australian C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Well-Developed Understanding: Operation and maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment.
  • Commitment to BHP Charter: Health, safety, environment, and sustainable development.
  • Desirable Experience: Working in a Coal Processing Plant.
  • Additional Licences and Tickets: Forklift Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, High Voltage switching, and EWP tickets are an advantage.
  • Team Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes.
  • Self-Motivation: Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Continuous Improvement: Dedication to continuous improvements.
  • Communication Skills: Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic and Enthusiastic: An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn.
  • Mining Experience: Previous experience within mining is preferred.
  • Safety Commitment: A strong commitment to safety.
