About Mount Arthur Coal

 

Mount Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Role

 

 

As a Mechanical Planner within the Mount Arthur Maintenance Planning and Reliability team, you will develop the maintenance plan to support the overall department to delivery effectively and safely.


  
In this role you will:
 

  • Develop, schedule, and communicate the 0-1 week maintenance plan
  • Support and integrate with the 2-13 week plan
  • Work cohesively with production scheduling to ensure best for business outcomes
  • Communicate and build relationships with key stakeholders and customers
  • Develop and complete regular reporting activities

About You

 

  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a maintenance environment with an understanding of work management processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a range of teams.
  • Sound computer skills, working with SAP, Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of cross functional stakeholders
  • Strong customer focus with proven skills to adapt and learn from customer feedback
  • A want to drive improvement for your own work but also that of the whole Coal Handline Plant
  • Strong time management skills and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
