About Mt Arthur Coal

 

Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Role

 

As a Mechanical Planner within the Mt Arthur Maintenance Planning and Reliability team, you will develop the maintenance plan to support the overall department to delivery effectively and safely.

  

In this role you will:

 

  • Develop and communicate the 0-1 week maintenance plan
  • Support and integrate with the 2-13 week plan
  • Work cohesively with production scheduling to enable dynamic schedule changes
  • Plan work in accordance with the 1SAP work management process
  • Communicate and build relationships with key stakeholders to embed / adjust process to support the project
  • Develop and complete regular reporting activities
About You

 

  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a maintenance environment an understanding of work management processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a range of teams.
  • Sound computer skills, working with 1SAP, Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of cross functional stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively drive an outcome
