Saraji Mine is looking to fill a mining engineer role with a civil engineering candidate and support them in upskilling across disciplines. The transition has been made by many civil engineers previously and we are looking to grow our team with the next successful candidate.

 

About the role

 

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, as the Specialist Mine Scheduling you will be engaged in providing clear direction to the execution teams through mine designs and schedules for the 0 to 12 week time frame for the truck & shovel fleets. Using your already solid mine planning skills and experience in this exciting and challenging short-term mine planning role to develop effective working relationships with the operational teams in order to ensure the efficient execution of your plans and schedules.

In this role you will:


•    Complete mine designs using CAD software packages;
•    Develop mine schedules to accurately forecast waste and coal movements;
•    Liaise with execution teams to track progress of mine plans;
•    Identify and implement Production Planning improvement initiatives;
•    Utilise tools in mine planning to ensure safe operations;
•    Build cross-functional relationship with the Operational sub-functions and interact extensively with the Planning sub-functions.

 

About You

 

About you

 

As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary education background in Civil Engineering (or another engineering discipline) with previous experience working on job sites.

 

As well as your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have demonstrated ability to build relationships across departments and able to communicate at all levels. A strong working knowledge of CAD software, scheduling packages and Microsoft Office are desirable.
You will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and providing excellent results.
